Built for Oxide & Carbon Rust game server admins

Rust Plugin Managerfor Oxide & Carbon servers

Manage every Rust plugin from one place. Scan your Oxide or Carbon plugins over SFTP, spot outdated plugins, pull updates from uMod, Codefling, and Lone.Design, and reload over RCON — without juggling WinSCP tabs on wipe day. Desktop app for full local control, cloud console when you're on the go.

Log in with Discord or Steam. Existing Pro members go straight to the app; new accounts are sent to subscribe. Desktop stays fully usable offline for local servers.

Rust Server Admin — manage, monitor, protect, and optimize your Rust game servers

Everything you need to run your server

Stop copy-pasting download links and guessing versions. RPM keeps marketplace sources, server files, RCON, players and permissions in one workflow.

Scan & inventory
Connect over SFTP or FTPS on any host — Pterodactyl, TCAdmin, or self-hosted — scan your oxide/plugins or carbon/plugins folder, and see title, author, version, and which plugins are outdated.
One-click updates
Check uMod, Codefling, and Lone.Design for new versions and push updates after a force wipe — without WinSCP tab juggling. Checks read the installed version live off your server, so they compare against what is really there, not the last scan. Browse and install new plugins from the built-in store.
Live RCON console
Send admin commands, load, unload and reload plugins, and stream live WebRCON console output — from the desktop app or the browser.
Player history & moderation
Playtime, connection counts, F7 reports and team membership for everyone who has played on your server. Kick, ban and unban over RCON, with timed bans that lift themselves.
Permission groups
Manage Oxide and Carbon permission groups from a UI — create and delete groups, add and remove players — instead of memorising oxide.grant syntax.
Live server dashboard
Players online, server FPS, memory and uptime at a glance, with the connected-player list and moderation actions on the same screen.
Cloud sync
Sign in, sync encrypted server credentials, and keep one plugin inventory across every device you administer from.
Steam & Discord login
No extra password to remember — authenticate with the accounts Rust communities already use.
Desktop + web
Full local SFTP/RCON power in Electron; browser access for remote admin when you need it.

How it works

1

Use Discord or Steam — your account is created automatically.

2

Try it free

Signing up gives you 24 hours of full access — no card, nothing to cancel. After that your data stays and stays readable; subscribe whenever you want server control back.

3

Connect your server

Add SFTP/FTPS and RCON details, scan plugins, and manage updates from one place.

Security

You're handing over the keys to your server

An RCON password can wipe a server, and an SFTP login can do worse. That deserves a straight answer rather than a badge, so here is exactly what happens to the credentials you type — including the parts we would rather you hear from us.

Encrypted at rest

Cloud-synced SFTP and RCON passwords are encrypted with AES-256-GCM before they reach the database, under a key that is not stored beside them.

Desktop stays local

Use the desktop app and your credentials never leave your machine. It dials your server directly — there is no path that uploads them.

Never written to logs

No password reaches a log line. WebRCON URLs are redacted before anything is written out, and there is no third-party error reporter to leak to.

Connections are checked

Every host you enter is validated, then the connection is pinned to the resolved address — so a hijacked DNS answer cannot redirect your credentials elsewhere.

Read how your credentials are handled — and where the limits are

Simple pricing

One Pro plan for cloud sync, web RCON, and multi-device plugin inventory. The desktop app remains free for pure local use without an account.

Frequently asked questions

Common questions from Rust server admins about scanning, updating, and reloading Oxide and Carbon plugins.

What is a Rust plugin manager?
Rust Server Admin is a plugin manager for Rust game servers running Oxide (uMod) or Carbon. It connects over SFTP/FTPS, scans your oxide/plugins or carbon/plugins folder, checks uMod, Codefling, and Lone.Design for newer versions, and applies one-click updates — then reloads plugins over RCON without leaving the app.
How do I update Oxide or Carbon plugins after a force wipe?
Connect over SFTP/FTPS and scan your plugins folder. Rust Server Admin compares each installed plugin against the latest version on uMod, Codefling, and Lone.Design, pushes the updates to the server, and reloads them with oxide.reload or carbon.reload over RCON — no WinSCP tab juggling on wipe day.
Does it work with my host (Pterodactyl, TCAdmin, game panels)?
Any host that exposes SFTP/FTPS and RCON works — Pterodactyl, TCAdmin, managed game hosts, or self-hosted setups on Docker, LGSM, or bare metal. It supports both the oxide/plugins and carbon/plugins paths, so it fits Oxide and Carbon servers on any provider.
Where are my server passwords stored?
It depends on where you use the app. In the desktop app they stay on your own computer, in the app's local config file — there is no path that uploads them. If you sign in on the web and save a server, your SFTP and RCON passwords are encrypted with AES-256-GCM before they are written to the database, using a key that is not kept alongside them. The rest of the connection — host, port, username, plugin path — is stored as ordinary text so the app can show you what it is connecting to.
Is there a free trial?
Yes — 24 hours of full access from the moment you create an account, with no payment method required. When it ends nothing is deleted: your servers, plugin inventory, player history and reports all stay, and the app stays readable. What pauses is control of your game server — RCON commands, plugin installs and live stats — until you subscribe. Subscribing charges immediately and there is nothing to cancel if you don't.
